Selkirk LABS Project 005 was created for players seeking the ideal balance of power and control. Drawing from what players loved about the VANGUARD Power Air and LABS Project 003, Project 005 brought together the best elements into a paddle with an edgeless, open-throat design.
Through player testing and feedback in the LABS program, Project 005 evolved into the Selkirk AMPED Pro Air. This paddle incorporates key LABS innovations such as the FiberFlex+ Fiberglass Face for enhanced power and consistency, the X5+ Honeycomb 16mm Core for a reliable sweet spot, and the ProSpin+ NextGen Texture for unmatched spin.
By refining the original 005 with player insights, the AMPED Pro Air now delivers the ideal balance of power, control, and maneuverability for the all-court player.

Players saw Project 005 as a more controlled, solid-feeling version of the Power Air – described by some as a “thicker” or “toned-down” Power Air. It offered good maneuverability and pop, with a softer, less board-like feel.

The 005 sought to combine power and control in one paddle, taking what players loved about the Selkirk VANGUARD Power Air and the LABS 003.
